The Data Science degree at University of Advancing Technology (UAT) provides students with the understanding and skills necessary to discover new ways to use data, analyze big data and IoT, create new data-centric technology and innovate how data is collected and understood.

The Data Science degree encompasses the fundamentals of math, programming and statistics, which provides a basis for machine learning, text analysis, natural language processing and deep learning.

DATA SCIENCE DEGREE OBJECTIVES

  • Be able to analyze large and complex data structures.
  • Model and use streaming data from sources such as: nature, humans, digital cities, social streams, wearable technology and IoT.
  • Be able to use artificial intelligence and machine language tools in the analysis of data.
  • Use industry tools to convert data into new understandings of the world.
  • Find answers that solve the previously unsolved by connecting big data, AI and IoT.
  • Be able to use visualization tools to create visual representations of data.
